Today we say, “Goodbye to 2025” and goodbye to our “100th Year.” In recent weeks we wrapped us this year by journeying through the Living Nativity series. Now that they’re done, remember: these aren't just cute Christmas sketches. They're invitations to live differently. Gabriel the Angel taught us to trust God's impossible plans. The Shepherd showed us it's never too late for a new beginning. The Wise Men reminded us that Jesus is worth any journey. Mary and Joseph showed us what faithful obedience looks like. And the Boy challenged us to give Jesus away. Christmas has come and gone, but we still have the chance to do all of these things, as we close the books on 2025, our 100th year in a time of remembrance, and prepare to begin year 101. Hebrews 12:1-3 (NLT) 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders, and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
