Acts 1:5 (NIV) 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Today we celebrate with a number of individuals who decided to follow Jesus’ example and command to be baptized. We then move into a new series that focuses on the Holy Spirit, seeking to understand more who He is and what role He plays in our lives. Over the next number of weeks, we will consider several of the Holy Spirits attributes highlighted for us in the Bible and consider their significance to us as we live out our lives as Christians. We began today by considering His presence and power. Acts 1:8 (NIV) 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
